Advertising Policy
MedGuideGlobal is a free medical-information resource, and advertising is how a free resource pays for itself. This policy keeps advertising from ever compromising the accuracy, independence, or safety of the information published. If advertising and good information ever conflict, the information wins.
The rules
Advertising never influences editorial content. Advertisers do not see, approve, suggest, or veto any page. No medicine or condition page is written, ranked, worded, or withheld because of an advertiser. Ads are labeled as ads and are visually distinct from editorial content. An advertisement is not an endorsement of the advertised product or company. Clinical review is independent of revenue — reviewers have no role in advertising and no financial interest in which ads appear (see the medical review policy).
Unacceptable categories
MedGuideGlobal does not knowingly accept advertising for products making unproven disease-cure claims, for prescription medicines marketed directly to patients where that is unlawful, or for anything that imitates editorial content to mislead readers.
How ads are served
When display advertising is active, it is served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense, which select the advertisement and may use cookies to do so. What that means for your data is described in the cookie policy and privacy policy. Where required, readers in the UK, EU, and EEA are asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set.
Sponsored and affiliate content
MedGuideGlobal does not currently publish sponsored articles. If that changes, sponsored material will be clearly labeled on the page itself and will never appear as, or inside, a medicine or condition reference page. Affiliate relationships are governed by the affiliate disclosure.
Reporting a problem ad
If an advertisement on this site appears misleading, unsafe, or inappropriate for a medical-information site, report it through the contact form with the page URL. Every report is reviewed, and advertisers and categories can be blocked at the network level.
